Report from Sunday’s Conference

By admin at 4:37 pm on Tuesday, December 26, 2006

On Sunday, Dec. 24, Rabbi Noach Orlowek presented a strong and coherent vision of presenting Judaism to the next generation. He explained that we do not judge ourselves in comparison to others, but that we have a unique mission. When a child is raised in a nurturing environment centered around our core mission as Jews, this is the best explanation of “Why Be Jewish.”

While Rabbi Orlowek was speaking from Jerusalem, he was able to see his audience in Baltimore, and point to attendees to field their questions. It was as if the speaker were in the same room, but at a fraction of the cost and inconvenience — proving that our new Ki MiTzion program is meeting its goals.

Our next Ki Mitzion lecture is scheduled for Jan 14th at 1pm. We will have the honor of hearing from Rabbi Motty Berger, senior lecturer in Jewish Philosophy at Aish HaTorah College of Jewish Studies in Jerusalem.

He will be speaking on the topic of “Anti-Semitism: Why the Jews?”

Also, look forward to hearing from Rabbi Jonathan Rosenblum, popular writer for the Jerusalem Post, author, and lecturer on current events topics.

The title for his talk will be “Turbulence in the Middle East: The Next Chapter“.

Looking forward to seeing you there!
