Rabbi Label Lam Rabbi Lam has been inspiring businessmen, college students, and people of all walks of life for Ohr Somayach International and Hamayan Institute for almost two decades. He brings to his lectures his rich life experience (a college athlete, a poet), a profound wit and an infectious love for the Jewish People. His insights on the weekly Torah Portion are received by more than 10,000 subscribers weekly and can be found at Torah.org. He is also the co-founder of Foundations for Jewish Learning with outreach projects in the United States and abroad, and he lives in Spring Valley, New York with his wife Chaya and their ten children.

Project Genesis Mourns Rabbi Chaim Flom

I must mention the loss of one of our authors — Rabbi Chaim Flom. Rabbi Flom was a beloved teacher to everyone he taught. In order to fully appreciate who he was, here are a few quotes from some of his students:

“Right now, I’m still shaken. Rabbi Flom was a giant in Torah, a shining example of kindness, humanity, and love. I consider it to be an absolute honour to have known him.” “Rabbi Flom was my night seder rebbe… he was an absolute gem of a man. Incredibly kind and giving. One time he picked me up from the dorms late and night and brought me back to his home to sleep, as I was not feeling well.” “Rabbi Flom was more than just a rebbe. He was a friend, a father figure and someone whom I will never, ever forget. His death is a massive loss for the whole world.”

David Sacks is the co founder and Senior Lecturer of The Happy Minyan of Los Angeles, a group dedicated to introducing people to Jewish Spirituality. Born and raised in New York City, David Sacks attended Harvard College, graduating with a degree in Government in 1984. A popular guest speaker known for his light and positive style and his appeal to audiences of all levels, David has been invited to address groups internationally. Professionally, David writes and produces comedy for television. Among the shows he’s worked for are The Simpsons, where he won an Emmy Award, and Third Rock from the Sun for which he won a Golden Globe Award. David currently Executive Produces the Lewis Black show on Comedy Central. He is also the President of Jewish Impact Films.
